Who We Are
Soroptimist International
Cementing Futures was established by members of SI (Soroptimist International) of Bournemouth who, as a club, have seventy years experience of fund-raising, lobbying and service to the community both at home and overseas.
SI is an International women’s organisation who have vast experience of setting up and managing projects of this magnitude.
Nijera Shikhi
Literally speaking Nijera Shikhi translates as 'Let's Teach Ourselves'
Nijera Shikhi is an NGO that was founded by British Methodist Church Minister, the late Rev. John P Hastings who had lengthy experience working with the poor and disadvantaged communities in India and Bangladesh.
SI Bournemouth and SI Dhaka in Bangladesh, are now working in partnership with Nijera Shikhi to ensure the success of the Cementing Futures Charity.
