Summer Reports June 2018

Suraiya has recently sent the reports of the children’s progress for the summer term and I am pleased to report that all the children are doing well. DHAKA VISIT

Joan Ingarfield and Liz Dominey, 2 of the trustees, have visited the children in Dhaka. Jane and Duncan BBQ

Fingers crossed for fine weather, as Jane and Duncan are holding a BBQ Friday 15 September  to raise funds for Cementing Futures. The Bournemouth SI Club will be out to give support, along with their friends and families. Don ‘t forget your swimsuits as the pool will be open!

Summer BBQ

On a wonderful sunny day, a lunchtime BBQ was held by Jane and Duncan Hume at their home in Bournemouth. Guests enjoyed lovely food cooked by Duncan, salads and puddings prepared by Jane as well as a swim and lots of laughter. Thank you to all who helped raise £225

Curry Evening

The Gate of India, Parkstone, Poole, treated us to some wonderful food and provided a very convivial atmosphere in May. Bournemouth Bay Run

Thanks to Ken Adams and Alec Turner for their sponsored run. With the support of his colleagues, friends and Soroptimists they raised £89.90 which is fantastic and will support a child for 9 months. this was the first time Ken has done a sponsored run, so we hope it won’t be the last. Well Done!
