Educational Charity in Dhaka, Bangladesh

Cementing Futures is an educational development charity bringing education, hope and dignity to children living in the slums of Dhaka who cannot currently access state provided education.

Pre-primary and primary education is provided by securing premises, trained teachers and equipment along with a daily nutritional snack. The children are taught basic literacy and numeracy in both Bengali and English with an aim of moving into the state education system as the opportunity arises.

Soroptimist International (SI) of Bournemouth founded Cementing Futures in response to the need identified by SI Dhaka, Bangladesh. Because of our close links with SI Dhaka we know that we can trust that all monies sent to them go directly to the educational programmes we support.
