When visiting Mohammadpur Literacy Centre the children were given cake as well as their nutritional snack as a special treat. The children, of their own accord, wrapped the cake in the serviettes to take home to share with their siblings.
The mothers decided that they would like their children to have a uniform, selected a colour and sourced the dresses and shirts. Michael Parker, a cardiac physiologist from Southampton, visited the Cementing Futures projects while visiting Dhaka, Bangladesh. Michael raised much appreciated funds for us by running a Marathon in the searing heat in Dhaka which was organised for him by students from the University of Dhaka.
